Inside of the Atlanta perimeter sits an emerald jewel that you would not expect amidst such a bustling city. Though just past the skyscrapers and upscale shops is a chunk of earth that has been long-since stripped by Vulcan Materials and now belongs to the city of Atlanta. This area is now part of the Beltline Project, and will eventually become a park and future reservoir (reaching full capacity in 2040). Currently it sits mostly unused as other green-space projects are completed, though it has been featured as a backdrop for many TV and film productions such as The Walking Dead and Fast & Furious Five. For information about other locations used for filming of The Walking Dead, take a look at Walking Dead Locations for a comprehensive and ongoing list.
