Continuing with Atlanta’s railroad past, I ventured into a new location (for me) that once served the mighty rails. The previous railroad location I visited once built cars, whereas this one repaired them. This was obviously a mechanical shop (as opposed to a production or supply depot), and once had the means of docking cars within the warehouses for work. (I don’t have a photo of it, but the main courtyard contains a perfectly circular area where a turnabout once stood.)
[Update 3/24/14] It appears this location got a slight facelift and was recently used as a backdrop for The Walking Dead. The location is referred to as “Terminus” in the show, and was the final destination for the survivors at the end of season 4.
