In a last-ditch effort to see the fall leaves, we took our first trip to Gibbs Gardens. It was touted as one of the last weekends to see the Japanese Maples, and they were truly beautiful. For the most part it was definitely too late in the season to really see the peak color, but even so late in the season the gardens still had some plants in bloom and was quite pretty. We ended up getting season passes, so hopefully we’ll be able to visit again in spring and then at a more opportune time in fall.
