No apologies for dining out every night this past week at @goodwordbrewing. When there are new taps and food features every night, and you’ve made no other plans for a true wedding anniversary getaway, you gotta dine like you’re on vacation. The last dishes by @dietodddie brought some of his own family’s recipes. Bonus pic of the panko shrimp we’ve somehow missed on the menu every time we come in.

Catching up from this week’s beer dinner, part of the 7th anniversary celebration at @goodwordbrewing This one was special as it wasn’t just 1 collab but 3, and chef upped it to 6 courses instead of the usual 5. We waddled out of the restaurant after this one.

There’s a pretty cool anniversary coming up next week… @amy.grau and I achieve 21 years of marriage shenanigans, oh and there’s a 7th anniversary for @goodwordbrewing as well. I guess we can celebrate both with good beer and food all week. But first here’s some pics of last week’s beer dinner that got knocked off my todo list because of other events.

Oh yeah, one more surprise for this Halloween was that our local fan group got a story in the AJC! We made the online edition earlier in the week and the print edition ON Halloween. Here’s to more ghost-busting, and you can find us at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s live accompaniment to the 1984 OG movie this Friday and Saturday (I’ll be at the Saturday performance).

Here are all of the locations I did get to visit during my trip back in February, with so many revisited in the new movie released in March.

We finally made it to the Ren Faire on the last da

We finally made it to the Ren Faire on the last day of the season, and had a good time thanks in part to the forecast turning out better than expected. Per usual, only Kate and I dress up for this event, and she also got in her time with the snakes at the reptile zoo. And even though we didn’t make it to every act we paid our respects to Nutmeg and enjoyed the Washing Well Wenches.

And just like that, time flies. I’ve realized this is my 10th year walking the town green taking photos. It’s been quite a journey for our little downtown with new shops and welcomed improvements, yet still so many familiar faces are still in these crowds.

It’s certainly not easily viewable to the naked eye but even a 2-4 second exposure with a smartphone will capture the change in colors.

Evening strolls are a lot more scenic these days. Both parks in Duluth and Johns Creek are completed so we have all parking lots and facilities available. And it looks like they installed a Stargate over on the Johns Creek side.
