One place we had yet visited since our daughter was born was the mountains. Luckily, we’re only about 2hrs from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the surrounding areas of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in Tennessee. And as per usual, I took along my camera as it had been quite a while since I had photographed the area (read: lots of new equipment purchased since last time). We visited several locations along the way, including Mingo Falls in Cherokee, NC, Cades Cove and Laurel Falls in the park area, Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg, and the Roaring Fork Nature Trail just on the edge of town.
