Just after wrapping up my photowalk in Atlanta, I met up with some local explorers to revisit a railroad mechanical shop. I knew that I had not fully explored the location the first time I visited, and much of it was flooded due to heavy rains the previous week. As I expected, there was another half of the site that I had never explored and was just as interesting as the first half. I also took another look at the half that I explored, this time with less water and fewer mosquitos.
[Update 3/24/14] It appears this location got a slight facelift and was recently used as a backdrop for The Walking Dead. The location is referred to as “Terminus” in the show, and was the final destination for the survivors at the end of season 4.
